House Prep & Packing up

• The process went in stages.
• Dylan worked out in the RV
• Kept the heat on to charge the batteries in the winter
• Bought internet
• Dylans clothes got moved in and emptied from inside.
• Jessie started working in the RV.
• Then Just a whole bunch of everything, Jessies clothes and stuff
• We were going through everything we had since Bob bought another home and was moving.
• Sharon came over one day with the van and we took so many plants

The Journey Down

• Aiming to leave at Noon on saturday but due to all the packing and house prep we left around 4
• Our destination was a cracker barrel in Wilson NC but ended up picking a closer one due to the time
• Drove the beltway around DC which was slightly congested, also a little trafficy around Richmond but we had clear skys, a nice day to drive.
• Got to the cracker barrel and pulled right into one of their nice long RV spots.
• We ordered take out. Browsed the store for awhile. They had a huge nice fire going in their fireplace which made it super cozy in there.
• Got up in the morining, got coffee, and headed south
• Tried out getting gas at a trucker stop.
• Slight hickup figuring out what the prompt on the fuel pump meant, Tractor & Reefer were the options, learned that reefer is refridgeration, we wanted tractor

Arrival

• Bug & Victor came not too long after we got setup with a nice home cooked dinner
• They also brought us dishes to eat off of which was a Pro RVer move. Was great we didn't have to do them

• After eating we walked around and they showed us the facilities and actually introduced us to some of their friends that were here in the park.

• Monday Feb 05 2024

• Went for a run in my vibram 5 fingers
• Setup Insty, the RV internet antenna & modem outside on its ladder mount.

• Played video games, Beyond All Reason, and had a video call with Noah to test the internet

  • We won all our games.

• Tuesday Feb 06 2024

• First Full workday, only 1 internet hiccup that a quick router restart fixed

• JR was tired

• Wednesday Feb 07 2024

• DZ Dry Oatmeal explosion in cabinet before Jessies work.
• Second Full workday. Internet was good, we restarted everything in the morning
• DZ was tired

• Called Bug and Victor to talk Church, Brunch & Superbowl plans!

  • DZ forgot he and JR already ate dinner cuz he was so sleepy.
